The sculpture lies between the city space and the church space, so you move from the secular room through the port of The Old Testament, which places you in the room between The Old and The New Testament, walk further into the room of The New Testament, the sculptures inner room, here you see the sky through the star of David, and then again walk to the secular room...

The Elephant Bamako

In the fight for preservation of the elephants in Asia, more than 100 danish artists was invited to decorate an elephant, these were in the spring and summer displayed at various exhibits and events. Later on the elephants are sold at auction.
The proceeds are used for different approaches to help the Asian Elephants like hospitals, corridors and more...

As artistic consultant for this new city area, among other things a square at Maaloev station was developed, this was implemented as an actual project with architect Stine baerentzen. From 2005 the actual idea for the sculpture for the square was developed.

Island of Love Oerestaden

A circular artificial island with steps of granite, 50 m in diameter, in the middle a large step shaped pool and two channels in concrete, in the pool stands a 12 m tall pillar of granite, the front and rear have reliefs of 12 women's torsos front and back, carved in 12 different colors of granite, plants are planted on the pillar, around the pool are 4 open pavillions, fire-water-earth-air, a steel construction with wide roofs...

Mama Bamako

On the 16th of October 2010 the exhibition North Meets West opened at the Musee National du Mali in Bamako, the capitol of Mali.
The exhibition is a cooperation project between scandinavian and african artists, and is organized as a 2 week workshop with a following exhibition.
The Project is arranged by Professor Ole Lislerud, Oslo National Academy of the Arts and artist Samuel Olou.

Figure from folklore that is seen again and again in many variations all over Sealand, carved in oak as support pillar for pulpit in Vejloe church, by Abel Schroeder the younger, modeled as installation for exhibit at Roennebaeksholm (2007), a chosen local Noergaard-Schroeder committee decided to gather funds to cast it for the newly established Axeltorv in Naestved.

Heart of Noerrebro

Extract from the press release: Sculptor Bjoern Noergaard and the association WE WANT TO LIVE HERE TOGETHER - ALL OF US have, as a reaction to the escalated violence in Copenhagen and Noerrebro, in cooperation created a sculpture made of weapons gathered at a police "safe passage" campaign.
Saturday May 29th the 4,5 meter high sculpture was revealed.

Ornamental Shelves (From my fathers book collection)
Module system developed in cooperation with Montana furniture A/S Peter J. Lassen, 2010
Through several years Bjoern and Peter Lassen (Montana) has worked together on developing different shelve systems, in form and material among others "Grid" and "Hist hvor vejen slaar en bugt". This variation, "From my fathers book collection", was created for the exhibit "Recycling art" at Horsens Museum of Art 2010.

Summer cottage in Tisvildeleje

Building owner Sten Lindberg, doctor among other titles, wanted to create a unique summer cottage on a beautiful elevated field in Tisvilde. Architect Tage Lyneborg and Bjoern have in cooperation created this sanctuary.
